Reporter’s use of anonymous sources raises many issues

WVU Journalism professor Toni Locy faces a contempt order for not revealing anonymous sources in her reporting on the anthrax investigation for USA Today. It comes in a lawsuit against the Justice Department filed by Stephen Hatfill, who was named a person of interest in the case but never charged. The report considers the legal, ethical and journalistic issues the contempt order raises.
