Honey bees having a tough time

It’s warm outside, flowers have bloomed and honey bees are busy at work. Recently, though, beekeepers across the country have struggled to keep their hives healthy and strong.  Some bees are leaving the hive and not returning.  It’s called “Colony Collapse Disorder.”

In West Virginia the situation is not as grim, but bees here are being affected by parasites and erratic weather patterns.  A WVU professor says he’s got a solution to help save the bees. Emily Corio produced a story for radio and the television program Outlook.
