Independent bookstore sues WVU over textbook ‘convenience account’

A Morgantown bookstore owner is suing WVU for $2 million. That’s the amount the store says it’s lost as a result of a new textbook purchase program at WVU.

The Book Exchange is a locally owned, independent book store that caters to WVU students.  It sells textbooks, school supplies and WVU paraphernalia. But, according to the lawsuit, WVU and Barnes and Nobel are hurting the bookstore’s business. Emily Corio has more.
