A day in the life of a meter attendant

Meter maids have one of the most unappreciated jobs. They work through rain, snow and heat, five days a week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Their work is to give tickets to people who have expired parking meters. They get cursed, honked at, and even almost run-over by passing cars. In Huntington, there are currently two meter maids; one male and one female. We rode with them on their busiest day of the week, Friday afternoon.
