By Beth Vorhees
The NAACP of
West Virginia has a new leader. Kenneth Hale was selected president of the state chapter at its convention last weekend in Beckley. Hale replaces James Tolbert, who headed the organization for 20 years.

Hale is 52. He is a resident of Charleston, and a major in the West Virginia Air National Guard where he works as an equal opportunity officer.
