Mon. County workers may have to support roads with $2 weekly tax

The Division of Highways has the responsibility to maintain the majority of roads in West Virginia, but the Division can’t afford to do it, let along build new roads.  The growth in Monongalia County puts a lot of pressure on the current road system, so local officials may ask residents if they’re willing to pick up the tab for new and improved roads.

    I’m ok with paying this but unless they plan on widening roads, building bypasses, etc. the issues will not be corrected.
