E. Panhandle housing slump hits local government coffers

Two years ago real estate agents and builders in the Eastern Panhandle could barely keep up with the demand for housing. Property sold quickly and values skyrocketed. This year many houses sport for sale signs for months and property values are fairly stagnant. This slump is hurting local government.
