West Virginia participates in national children’s study

West Virginia is joining a national study of how environment and genetics affect the health and development of children.  Researchers at West Virginia University hope to enroll 1,000 children from Marion County in the National Children’s Health Study.  The study will follow kids from before birth to age 21. Dr. Lesley Cottrell is the principal investigator for the study and assistant professor in the WVU Department of Pediatrics.
