The war in Iraq has evoked strong questions from many of us. Will the war improve our nation’s security, or has it increased the likelihood of terrorist attacks?

But our soldiers can’t afford to be consumed by the political debate, rhetoric and protests.
They don’t have a choice in this war. If called upon, they have to go. Soldiers must leave their families, and they must make plans in case they don’t come back.

Beginning Oct. 25th at 9:30 p.m, our television program Outlook will profile families and soldiers who are part of the Army Reserves’ 459th Engineering Company in Bridgeport. We’re calling our documentary “Bridgeport to Baghdad: West Virginia’s 459th at Home and at War.”
