New program launched for parents of kids with behavioral and emotional disorders

The parents of kids with behavioral or emotional disorders face a number of obstacles to get help. They must navigate a bureaucratic maze involving schools, state agencies and the health system. Now, a new program is helping these parents and kids get the help they need.

The Family Advocacy, Support and Training Program, or FAST, was started last year by Legal Aid of West Virginia as a pilot program. On Tuesday, the group announced its expanding statewide.
