Sisters say no to parent’s plan to keep open Mount de Chantal Visitation Academy

In January, officials at Mount de Chantal Visitation Academy in Wheeling announced plans to close the 160-year old all girl’s private school at the end of the May. Since then, a group of parents, staff and community members have been working on a plan to keep its doors open. But on Tuesday, their hopes were eliminated by the nuns who run the school.
