Rodriguez’s attorney likens buyout clause to slavery

West Virginia University’s lawsuit against former football coach Rich Rodriguez is moving forward after a hearing in Monongalia County Circuit Court today (April 3). But the case isn’t likely to wrap up by the end of the summer, as both sides had hoped.

Both sides were granted requests to gather information that could help support their claims.  WVU says Rodriguez breached his contract and owes the school $4 million.  Rodriguez says WVU officials told him the buyout clause wasn’t binding. Click here for rest of story
