Byzantine: Rocker dreams and business realities

In January, a West Virginia-based heavy metal band called Byzantine released its third album to its best reviews to date.

The album’s called “Oblivion Beckons,” and there proved to be something to that name. Five days after it was released, the band announced it was breaking up.
