Manchin mining bill killed by Senate committee

Another of Governor Joe Manchin’s bills died in a Senate committee Wednesday after a coal lobbyist spoke against it. That makes three of Manchin’s proposals killed by the Legislature this year.  

Meanwhile, Senators are putting together several proposed business tax cuts in a larger package they hope will make West Virginia competitive with neighboring states, once and for all.
